For the Beautiful Future of Lake Shinji

Protecting the future of Lake Shinji together with every guest.

A new standard of travel, realized through CO₂ Zero Stay and CO₂ Zero MICE.
To protect the beautiful natural environment of Matsue, Shimane, and pass it on to future generations, Hotel Ichibata has introduced a carbon offset system that effectively reduces CO₂ emissions associated with stays and events to net zero.

For Guest

Travel with care for the planet.

-Simply choose an eligible plan when making your reservation, and the CO₂ emissions from your stay will be offset.
-An “Offset Stay Certificate” will be issued as proof of your environmental contribution.
-While enjoying the breathtaking views of Lake Shinji, you can also experience the value of making a meaningful contribution to the environment.

For Corporate

Accelerate your company’s ESG initiatives from Matsue.

-Business trips, training programs, and MICE use can directly contribute to reductions in Scope 3 emissions, including supply chain-related emissions.
-A Green Power Certificate for MICE can be issued to officially certify the environmental value of your initiative.
-For group stays of 30 guest-nights or more, a Credit Cancellation Notice can also be issued.
-This helps position your event as an advanced, environmentally conscious initiative and contributes to enhancing your corporate value.

Carbon Offset System

A simple and reliable system
Making travel and business more environmentally responsible

How Carbon Offsetting Works

The amount of CO₂ emitted from the energy used during guests’ stays and meetings, such as electricity and gas, is calculated.
By purchasing an equivalent amount of carbon credits, such as J-Credits, these emissions are effectively reduced to net zero through offsetting.

“We want guests 100 years from now to experience this same view.”
As a leader in sustainable tourism, Hotel Ichibata will continue moving forward together with our guests.
