Protecting the future of Lake Shinji together with every guest.
A new standard of travel, realized through CO₂ Zero Stay and CO₂ Zero MICE. To protect the beautiful natural environment of Matsue, Shimane, and pass it on to future generations, Hotel Ichibata has introduced a carbon offset system that effectively reduces CO₂ emissions associated with stays and events to net zero.
For Guest
Travel with care for the planet.
-Simply choose an eligible plan when making your reservation, and the CO₂ emissions from your stay will be offset. -An “Offset Stay Certificate” will be issued as proof of your environmental contribution. -While enjoying the breathtaking views of Lake Shinji, you can also experience the value of making a meaningful contribution to the environment.
For Corporate
Accelerate your company’s ESG initiatives from Matsue.
-Business trips, training programs, and MICE use can directly contribute to reductions in Scope 3 emissions, including supply chain-related emissions. -A Green Power Certificate for MICE can be issued to officially certify the environmental value of your initiative. -For group stays of 30 guest-nights or more, a Credit Cancellation Notice can also be issued. -This helps position your event as an advanced, environmentally conscious initiative and contributes to enhancing your corporate value.
Carbon Offset System
A simple and reliable system
Making travel and business more environmentally responsible
How Carbon Offsetting Works
The amount of CO₂ emitted from the energy used during guests’ stays and meetings, such as electricity and gas, is calculated. By purchasing an equivalent amount of carbon credits, such as J-Credits, these emissions are effectively reduced to net zero through offsetting.
“We want guests 100 years from now to experience this same view.” As a leader in sustainable tourism, Hotel Ichibata will continue moving forward together with our guests.
― Toward a sustainable future, together with our guests.
For guests staying multiple nights, we reduce the frequency of sheet and towel replacement to help conserve water resources and reduce the energy used for laundry.
Full Use of Toilet Paper Rolls
To reduce resource waste, we ask for guests’ understanding and cooperation in using toilet paper rolls in guest rooms until they are fully finished.
Digital Registration Cards
We promote paperless check-in by managing guest registration cards digitally, helping to reduce paper consumption.
Umbrella Lending Service
To reduce the disposal of single-use umbrellas, reusable umbrellas are available for guests to borrow in case of sudden rain.
Reducing Food Loss
We work to minimize food waste during food preparation and reduce loss through accurate demand forecasting in our banquet and dining operations.
Commitment to Health and Well-being
We are committed to supporting guests’ physical and mental well-being and providing a comfortable sleep environment. High-quality Simmons beds are installed to offer a refined and restful stay.
Smoke-free Shared Spaces
To ensure a comfortable and healthy environment for all guests, all shared spaces within the hotel are smoke-free.
Rainwater Use on the Beer Terrace
We efficiently collect and filter rainwater, making effective use of it for certain hotel facilities and for watering plants.
